Brcko Supervisor Raffi Gregorian hailed the adoption of the new Law on Primary and Secondary Education by the Brcko District Assembly last night.
“The District should be proud to be the first one in BiH to have a law on education that meets the requirements of the European Partnership Program in capacity building in education,” said Supervisor Gregorian. “This new law further improves what was already the best education system in BiH.”
Supervisor Gregorian notes that the process of creating and passing the Law hasn’t been without difficulties. Through dialogue, the interests of children have been placed above party interests. By adopting the Law the District Assembly has demonstrated political maturity in making the decisions that will contribute to the benefit of the District as a whole and all of its residents.
“With this Law, Brcko District continues to set examples for BiH by making good on its commitments to promote BiH’s European perspectives. We invite BiH and the Entities to benefit from Brcko District’s examples,” he said.
