Senior Deputy High Representative Ambassador Werner Wnendt visited the Bosniak Gymnasium in Sarajevo today, the Gymnasium’s 10th anniversary.
Ambassador Wnendt met with a group of students from the 3rd and 4th grade, discussing with them – in German and English – the way they see their own future and the future of BiH within the European Union.
The SDHR also met the school director Mrs. Lejla Aksamija and members of her staff.
Ambassador Wnendt was impressed by the Bosniak Gymnasium’s positive approach to teaching foreign languages and welcomed the general openess and atmosphere of tolerance in the school. Gymnasium pupils are taught four foreign languages so that students are fluent in English and at least one more foreign language by the end of their secondary school education.
