The Banja Luka OMI, in close co‑operation with the PLIP agencies, has successfully identified nearly 2000 multiple claims for the same property. All of these claims will be subtracted from the Official July PLIP statistics. This is an important achievement and will result in a substantial increase in the Banja Luka implementation rate.
However, property law implementation in Banja Luka remains very problematic. For instance, there were almost 200 less repossessions in July this year than in July last year. And the number of monthly evictions has fallen dramatically, while the number of illegal postponements is alarmingly high.
The PLIP agencies remain concerned that if the current trend continues, property law implementation in Banja Luka will not be completed by the end of the year.
