PDHR and Brčko District Supervisor Louis Crishock attended the opening of the first social enterprise in the District and commended NGO “Vermont” for this praiseworthy initiative, undertaken in cooperation with the Government of Brčko District.
This pioneering endeavor will create employment opportunities for those who all too often encounter barriers in the labor market. By reinvesting its profits into training and professional support, the enterprise promotes stable and secure employment for workers who are often marginalized.
Supervisor Crishock welcomed the District’s recognition of the importance of inclusion and equal opportunity for all citizens, adding that “The District must serve everyone. Entrepreneurship can be a viable economic pathway for all. We want every individual – regardless of ethnic, religious, or any other affiliation – to see starting a business as a meaningful opportunity and a path toward economic self-reliance.”
