Opening of the RS Directorate for Privatisation Satellite Office in Mostar

The privatization process in the Republika Srpska has been ongoing since January, 3rd 2000 and was to last until February, 20th 2000. Upon the request of the High Representative, Wolfgang Petritsch, the RS Government agreed to an extension of this deadline and to the opening of additional satellite offices in the B&H Federation to enable registration of DPs. Satellite offices were opened in Gorazde, Sanski Most, Tuzla and Sarajevo.

As of March 1st 2000, the RS Directorate for Privatization opened the satellite office in Mostar. It is located in the premises of the “Office for Refugees and Displaced Persons from Gacko”, in North Camp Mostar (Mostar University campus).

BiH Citizens are eligible for general claim vouchers from the place they lived in on March, 31st 1991. Therefore, a person who was a permanent resident on the territory of RS on that date is entitled to those vouchers and is welcome to either register in the RS, to use a proxy to do the registration, or to register in the satellite offices on the territory of the B&H Federation. In order to register, citizens need to provide the office with a document that incorporates the personal identification number. After the registration has been completed, citizens will receive – at the stipulated postal addresses – their voucher number and further material indicating how to proceed.
