The HR’s Special Envoy to Mostar, Senior Deputy High Representative Werner Wnendt, will travel to Mostar tomorrow. He will continue his dialogue with political parties, individuals and representatives of civic groups, in order to engage all levels of Mostar society in the implementation of the new Statute.
Progress in the implementation of the High Representative’s Decision for Mostar is on schedule. We expect that this will continue as it has done until now, with the participation of all key sectors of Mostar society and without any delays.
Whether or not Mostar succeeds in overcoming the divisions and bitterness of the past and embracing a prosperous and stable future depends, ultimately, not on the International Community but on BiH’s political leaders and on the full-fledged engagement of all directly-interested parties, which means all civil servants and all the citizens of Mostar.
