The fourth Donors’ Conference started in Brussels today. Conclusions from the conference have to be the turning point for recovery and reconstruction of BiH, as distinct from previous conferences where there was a lack of macro-economic strategy – was the principle message of the Brussels meeting. The HR, Carlos Westendorp, stressed that a lot had been done on consolidating the situation in BiH; the BiH has a flag, passport, registration plates; several key laws have been adopted. “However,” Westendorp added, “Drvar and Derventa show that there are still those who oppose the peace, which we will not tolerate.” He asked for an additional $5 million for reconstruction of the media in BiH. RS Prime Minister Dodik stressed that the Government, led by him, was moving towards economic recovery and cooperation with the IC, and all actions undertaken were aimed at resolving the crucial issues of the people.
