RS Prime Minister Dodik visited refineries in Srpski Brod and Modrica. Dodik and talked with oil industry directors about forming a single national company which would unite these two technologically linked refineries.

RS NA speaker Dragan Kalinic received 11 newly-designated BiH ambassadors appointed by RS, according to a press release from the RS NA office. Kalinic expressed the hope that the new ambassadors would successfully represent the new picture of post-Dayton BiH and provide equal service to all three nations and two entities in the world, according to a press release from his office.

By order of The Hague Tribunal Prosecutor, there is an on-going collection of documents in BL, as it was stated to be important for on-going investigations. The action is being carried out with the cooperation of the local police and authorities, SFOR and IPTF.

American President Bill Clinton hailed Simo Zaric’s surrender to The Hague Tribunal and called on other indictees to surrender voluntarily. At his first, very short appearance before The Hague Tribunal, Simo Zaric listened to the charges and pleaded not guilty.

Starting on Monday, JAT will introduce a regular air service between Belgrade and Banja Luka. The return ticket will amount to 600 dinars, and a one-way ticket 300 dinars.

Director of the RS Republic Customs Administration, Dragoljub Trivanovic, and the director of the FRY Customs Administration, Mihalj Kerkez, reached agreement on the free transit of imported goods for RS through the territory of FRY.

The foreign currency payment of teachers’ salaries was completed today. Do teachers have a reason to be dissatisfied? They again announced a strike warning for who knows when.

“The payment of salaries is complete, but the exchange rate, the so-called “street” exchange, was 4.5, which caused revolt and bitterness, given the fact that the special Collective contract had not been respected. Thus, salaries have been reduced, without a credit for previous work and all other things which make a complete salary,” according to Ranka Misic, president of the Branch Trade Union of Education, Culture and Science.

Special American envoy for the Balkans, Robert Gelbard, assessed the activities of the RS new government as highly successful, saying it had made a strong impression in Washington. He announced the readiness of the USA government to loosen political and economic sanctions against RS and FRY, as a sign of appreciation for the great contribution in implementing the DA.
