RS Prime Minister Dodik received the delegation of Democratic Initiative of Serbs from Sarajevo headed by the president of the association Petar Grgic and Masimo Stanisic on their request. The delegation informed Dodik on the work of this association, the position of Serbs who remained to live in Sarajevo after the signing of the DA and especially about the level of realization of religious freedoms, cultural, educational and political rights of the Serb population.

The BiH Presidency agreed today on opening of the Croatian consulate in Banja Luka. At the 30th session of BiH Presidency which was held in the federal part of Sarajevo today, the members of the Presidency discussed the budget of BiH, the seat and the location of the common institutions whereupon they accepted the idea of a district. It was agreed that the OHR should be requested help in working on the proposal which is supposed to contain not only the location of the institutions but also to solve the issue of the accommodation of one part of the functionaries working in the common institutions.

Council of Ministers of BiH adopted the criteria for resolving the problem of the accommodation of this state institution at today’s session. The final decision will be made in 7 days, after the consultations with OHR.

The railroad transportation between RS and FBiH was established today by passing of the freight train coming from Banovici through railway station in Doboj.

The RS vice-president Mirjanic talked with the representatives of the Greek embassy in Sarajevo today. The Greek representatives presented the possibilities of establishing of the economic relations between Greece and RS. They also discussed the possibility of opening the Greek consulate in BL.

Principle of the primary school “Miroslav Antic” located in the village of Pervan in the BL municipality, signed the agreement on donation of 121 000 DM for the reconstruction of that school with the Japanese government.

Director of the Banja Luka Bank said that the payment of the salaries to the teachers started, for the schools which have submitted the lists with the names of the employees to this bank.

The Head of the OSCE Mission to BiH, Robert Barry held a press conference in BL today. He confirmed that the elections will be held most likely on 12-13th of September, according to the rules and under the OSCE supervision.

The ICG brought a line of conclusions which concern the future of the DA. On the basis of the report made by the HR Carlos Westendorp, the ICG considered the course of the implementation of the DA. They supported the measures undertaken by the HR Carlos Westendorp, in accordance with his authorizations, in order to start the peace process, but they underlined that the sides in BiH have to continue making the decisions independently and that the common institutions should function in a more efficient way in order to fully implement the DA .
