Dodik and Petritsch visit Kopanja

RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik and High Representative Wolfgang Petritsch visited Nezavisne Novine and Nes Radio Editor-in-Chief Zeljko Kopanja on Saturday. After the visit and a meeting with doctors, Petritsch stated that the International Community would do everything to get Kopanja back to work and punish the perpetrators of the crime that landed him in the hospital. Petritsch added that Vienna was ready to continue Kopanja’s rehabilitation at no cost. Petritsch said that after the attempt on Kopanja’s life he spoke with representatives of the International Community and Ambassadors of the Peace Implementation Council’s Executive Board on activities against terrorism. “All honest people want to live in peace” Petritsch stated. “Activities for peace and against terrorism should unite everybody, no matter what nationality.” Dodik stated that, “unfortunately, some people were ready to eliminate those with a different line of thought.” He added that the current RS Government was worried by the fact that political enemies of its method of work had chosen terrorism. Doctor Milijan Kalusevic informed journalists that Kopanja’s condition was good.

Members of Association for Return to Serb Gorazde protest in Donja Sopotnica

Bosniak members of the Association for Return to Serb Gorazde have been protesting on the IEBL in Donja Sopotnica since Wednesday. Approximately 100 Bosniaks blocked the Serb Gorazde-Gorazde road with their vehicles. Representatives of the OHR and Serb Gorazde Municipality agreed that the owners of property in Serb Gorazde should be allowed to come and assess their property, which was a request of the Association. However, the deal was not respected. President of Serb Gorazde Municipality Slavko Topalovic stated that, afterwards, the Association requested returns. Bosniaks want to return to settled parts of Serb Gorazde. A scheduled meeting of the municipal commission did not take place because members of the CD Coalition did not arrive.
