Sarajevo – My visit to BiH is one more confirmation of the Slovenian devotions to BiH, its integrity in its internationally recognized borders and its peoples, Milan Kucan, the Slovenian President told the news briefing after his separate talks with Alija Izetbegovic, and Kresimir Zubak, Chairman and Member of the BiH Presidency. Izetbegovic said that they discussed economic co-operation, joint appearance at third markets, imbalance in trade between the two countries, BiH citizens savings in Ljubljanska Banka and the forthcoming elections..Kucan met also with CoM members. A planned meeting with RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik in the Slovenian Embassy was not held due to Dodik’s obligations abroad.

Sarajevo – US Ambassador to the UN tasked with the negotiations of Ploce harbor, Richard Sclar discussed with Ejup Ganic the final document relating to the BiH use of the harbor and passage through Neum. They also considered the special relations between the BiH Federation and Croatia and tackled questions which have to be defined at the state level.

Sarajevo – A European Parliament delegation headed by its President Jose Maria Gil Robles Delgado visited BiH today. He talked of the forthcoming elections in our country with Alija Izetbegovic and Kresimir Zubak. Izetbegovic stated that a significant consolidation of BiH had been achieved. The privatization process was one of the topics of their talks. Euro Parliament President did not meet with Momcilo Krajisnik. I do not wish to meet with somebody who doesn’t want to implement the DPA, Delgado said.

Speaking at a press briefing tonight, the EP President Delgado said he hoped that after the elections BiH would be a citizens state instead of the country of nations.

Sarajevo – Kresimir Zubak talked on the phone with the British Deputy Foreign Minister Toni Loyd who was especially interested to learn about the current political situation on the dawn of the election weekend. Zubak received confirmation that only with the implementation of the DPA can BiH become a participate fully in European integration.

Sarajevo – The International Community responded very strongly against the disproportional behavior of the HDZ BiH, HVO and Croatian Radio TV which was directed against the September elections and common BiH institutions. The US are extremely concerned by the actions of the HDZ BiH and statements by the Croatian Government relating to the territorial integrity of Bosnia, James Rubin, US Department Spokesman said in a press release issued by the US Sarajevo based Information Service.

Sarajevo – Haris Silajdzic, CoM Co-Chair received Hanns Schumacher, Senior Deputy HR today. They discussed the results of implementation of the DPA, election preparations in BiH and the reorganization of the BiH CoM.

Sarajevo – The HR initiative to transform CoM after September elections was discussed at today’s meeting of the OHR representative Hanns Schumacher, Senior Deputy HR and representatives of the Alternative Ministerial Council of BiH. The AMC presented suggestions of a new organization of the CoM. Now when the CoM is working more on the substance, we see that rotation of the Chairs increasingly hamper its work, so we feel obliged to find better solutions for this institution, Schumacher told journalists after the meeting.
