Six delegates from the SDS and the Serb Radical Party left the BiH Parliament Assembly HoR session. The reason for this is inclusion of approval of CoM members’ appointments in the agenda. The HoR elected Pero Skopljak for Co-chairmen from Croat people. At today’s session, the HoR confirmed appointment of CoM Co-chairmen Silajdzic and Mihajlovic.

RS President Poplasen proposed “Sloga” candidate and current RS NA Chairman, Petar Djokic for the RS designate, and explained that his decision is in the framework of his constitutional authority as the RS President, and said that Djokic’s statement regarding this candidacy is expected soon.

Kosovo Albanians will jointly appear in Paris at the negotiations about the Kosovo crisis. New conflicts were recorded in north Kosovo regions, but no casualties were reported. Russian Duma appealed to President Yeltsin to assist FRY in case of NATO intervention in Kosovo.

15 victims from the Hrastova Glavica mass grave were identified so far. These are residents of Prijedor suburb settlements, taken to Kereterm and Omarska camps in 1992.

UN Secretary General Special Envoy, Rehn visited Brcko, and said that for the International Community, there is only one interest that anybody can have in Brcko, and this is the interest of BiH peoples. Rehn also said that the International Community would stay in Brcko for as long as it is necessary, regardless of the arbitration decision.

OHR South spokesperson Riley repeated once more that neither the International Community or the High Representative have anything against Croats in BiH, and that they do not want to dispute Croat rights to have their language and culture. Regarding the problem of television, Riley also said that OHR still insist that broadcasters here should work on legal basis.

40 financial inspectors from Herzegovina/Nertva Canton, Tuzla/Podrinje canton, Sarajevo Canton, and Zenica/Doboj canton are included in coordinated action which aims to improve financial discipline in paying taxes, to resolve the issues of illegal employment, and employed staff with no proper documents.

BiH TV brought coverage about frauds in issuing Austrian visas. As reported by citizens and Austrian Embassy employees, there are persons who represent themselves as employees of a tourist agency or other authorised persons for issuing Austrian visas and collect from 300 DEM to 600 DEM for “quick finishing of the visa procedure.”
