Sarajevo – Co-chair Haris Silajdzic and US Ambassador Richard Kauslarich signed agreements on US loans for reconstruction of municipal infrastructure and for commercial credits to revive the BH economy. Some portions of the loan package have already been used for medical, educational and communication facilities, water supply and electric power supply systems. 237 credits for the economic recovery have been released until now, thus creating jobs for 15 000 workers.

Sarajevo – The EU will release the funds worth US $ 94 million dollars for the former Yugoslavia. In Bosnia and Croatia these funds will be used to finance projects related to the return of refugees and DPs, while the donation to FRY worth 10 million Ekies will be used for modernization of medical institutions in Kosovo.

Sarajevo – The companies Energoinvest, Iris-Computers (Sarajevo) Ekom (Banja Luka) and Optima (Mostar) signed an agreement on exchange of consultations aimed to create an unified data processing system of the labor market throughout BiH.

Sarajevo – BiH Deputy Foreign Minister Husein Zivalj held talks with Special OSCE Representative for the implementation of Article 5 of the Dayton Agreements, Anry Jacqueline. Regional stabilization was the main topic on the agenda. Ambassador Jacqueline opined that the system of regional stabilization should be incorporated into the European system. Stability in the Balkans is the best guarantor for stability in Europe, he declared. 1’30” Tuzla – A diploma award ceremony for police officers who attended a special course on human dignity was held in Tuzla today. IPTF and local police instructors lectured at these courses. 1’00” Sarajevo – Governor of Sarajevo Midhat Haracic and Counselor of the city of Kuwait signed a charter on pronouncing Sarajevo and Kuwait twin cities. The signed document will enhance economic and cultural cooperation and exchange of scientific information between the two cities. 1’00” Tuzla – The Muslim Bosnian Organization ( MBO party) holds that a better political climate should be created for the September elections. It was expected that the existing electoral system would be amended to allow voting at the state and not only at the entity level, stated Salim Burek, President of the MBO at a press conference in Tuzla.
