About 300 Bosniak refugees returned to Lokve settlement in Capljina municip ality. Federation President Ganic delivered 11 trucks of construction mater ial to returnees. Today’s return went without problems and this process w ill be continued in the next several days.

UNHCR spokeswoman Quentier praised refugee return to Herzegovina/Neretva ca nton, at today’s press conference of international organisations held in Mostar. Quentier also appealed to Croat refugees to submit the reconstructi on forms before the deadline expires.

Olovo municipality officials met with Serb refugees’ representatives, dis cussing the matters of Serb return to Olovo. Both sides agreed that Olovo i s open for return. 60 Serb citizens visited seven settlements in Olovo muni cipality, and as they said, this was the only way to estimate the condition s for return and bring the decision on return.

Sarajevo Canton MUP found the person suspected to have activated a hand gre nade, on August 4 in Sarajevo municipality Novi Grad. The identity of the p erson is Haris Becirevic, born 1959 in Brcko, permanently residing in Saraj evo.

Another incident occurred at FRY =AD Albanian border, when Yugoslav Army li quidated four Albanians who were attempting to make illegal entry into the country. It was reported that significant amount of weapons and ammunition was found. Except for sporadic fighting, the situation in Kosovo is calm to day.

CoM Co-chairman Silajdzic met with delegation of “Trans-Consulting Internat ional” from Luxembourg. The delegation introduced Silajdzic to the project of construction of the world trade centre in Brcko.

BiH Federation Privatisation Agency Steering Board held a meeting in Mostar President of the Privatisation Agency, Andric said that if a solution f or establishment of the Privatisation Agency in Herzegovina/Neretva canton is not reached soon, the agency will start this process in accordance with its own authority. It was said that establishment of the agency process is delayed because it is dependant on USAID and its revenues and co-operators who work on this process.

Returnees’ houses are reconstructed in Sarajevo municipality Hadzici. Eur opean Community department for Humanitarian Affairs donated most of the rev enues for reconstruction of 84 houses, and the celebration was carried out today in Hadzici in the presence of BiH Federation and International Commun ity officials.

Sarajevo Canton delegation led by Governor Haracic met with Split authoriti es, discussing expansion of co-operation between the two cities. Among othe r issues, refugee return, social and cultural affairs were also discussed, as well as economic co-operation and development.
