News Summary
Livno HDZ in crisis
The ninth anniversary of the HDZ BiH was marked by resignations. The crisis in Livno Canton HDZ Cantonal Board deepens. This is confirmed by the resignation of HDZ BiH Cantonal Board President Drago Tokmakdzija, who was joined by six representatives from Glamoc, Bosansko Grahovo and Drvar Municipalities, Board members from those three municipalities, Vijeko Vukancic, Neven Maric, Petar Kelava, Petar Kalinic, Ivan Damjanovic and Tomo Kokalovic all resigned. They explained their actions with an evaluation of the cantonal situation, particularly the difficult situation in their municipalities as well as the indolence demonstrated by the top-level municipal officials for resolving this problem. Drasko Brnic, Head of Livno HDZ BiH, also confirmed dysfunction in the HDZ BiH on Sunday’s anniversary, saying that it is blocking municipal organizations. According to Livno, Tomislavgrad and Kupres Boards are attempting to outgrow problems induced by the other two municipalities. UN Special Representative Elisabeth Rehn is expected to visit Livno on Monday.
