Russian President Yeltsin replaced Premier Primakov in the eve of “Duma” session on verification of Yeltsin’s mandate. Yeltsin said he has made a difficult decision and thanked Primakov for his engagement so far. According to the Russian Constitution, by replacing the Premier, Yeltsin has replaced the whole Government.

NATO continued its strikes on Serbian infrastructure, communications and industry. NATO spokesman said that these were the most effective strikes since beginning of the campaign. It was also officially announced that five Serbian MIG 21 aircraft were destroyed on the ground.

New mass graves found in Kosovo in the upper region of Klina with at least 25 buried victims, Radio Tirana reported.

German Chancellor Schroeder visited China, meeting with Chinese state officials, and discussing the recent events in the Kosovo crisis. Schroeder said that China still insist on suspension of NATO attacks, which is, according to his assessment, precondition for political solution of the Kosovo crisis.

NATO Secretary General Solana visited Albanian capital and met with highest state officials and NATO representatives in this country. Solana also visited Macedonia and met with president Gligorov.

First session in the case “Yugoslavia against NATO countries” was finished today in the ICTY. The accused side said that this charges represent nothing else but distraction of world’s attention from ethnic cleansing.

OHR issued an announcement regarding yesterday’s Federation Forum session. The announcement reads that OHR regrets the failure of the Federation Forum session, and that the forum was sabotaged by the deputy Prime Minister Covic.

The Federation Government held a session today, discussing the issues of security in the refugee return process and issues of economics policy. The Government also adopted proposal of measures for prevention of terrorism.

Regional road M-17 was blocked again today, this time by Zenica Municipality invalids of war and families of killed soldiers. The invalids again in such manner demand their pensions.

RTV BiH also brought coverage on the Privatisation process issues, interviewing officials of the Federation Agency for Privatisation, and investigating whether the privatisation will be the privilege of the rich or all citizens of the Federation.
