BiH Presidency Member Alija Izetbegovic met with General Deputy High Representative Ralph Johnson and UN Secretary General Special Envoy Jacques Klein. They discussed ways of helping individual returnees that have yet to be given financial aid. Bicakcic and Ministers discuss returns with Head of UNHCR Mission in BiH
BiH Federation Prime Minister Edhem Bicakcic and corresponding ministers discussed return issues with the Head of the UNHCR Mission in BiH. Returns are said to be one of the priorities for BiH at the recently concluded Sarajevo Summit. Croatia-BiH border agreement approved by BiH Presidency
The agreement defining the Croatia-BiH borderline is based on recommendations by a working group compiled of all three BiH nations, OHR spokesperson Oleg Milisic said in response to Serb representatives in BiH Parliament saying they will not ratify this agreement. OHR welcomes the opening of the Trebinje-Dubrovnik border crossing as an event that enables the developing positive relations between the two states.(00:38)
IMC to continue work until adoption of BiH radio and television law
Statements by RS Information Minister Rajko Vasic that the IMC is creating chaos in BiH are of no help and lead only to confusion in radio-television houses, especially those in the RS, the IMC said in response to Vasic’s statement on Radio Doboj. The IMC will continue, in accordance to its authority, to issue and price permits to all radio and television houses, also to determine frequencies for all electronic media until adoption of the radio-telecommunications law in BiH and until the High Representative views all frequency-related issues over a six-month period.
