RTRS: Live report from RSNA session
| RTRS carried report by Daliborka Predragovic from the RS National Assembly session, which says that the RS Government presented it conclusions regarding defence reform to RS NA deputies. RS Government feels that abolishment of the RS Defence Ministry is unacceptable and it stands for professional BiH Army. RS Government is also asking RS members of the DRC to actively participate in the work of the Commission. Members of SDS, SRS and Club Centre supported the conclusions of the Government whilst SNSD feels that the Government only copied SDS conclusions. DNS feels that citizens should voice their opinion on he defence reform through a referendum. RS PM Pero Bukejlovic concluded that the Government adopted these conclusions unanimously. RS NA should make a stance on these conclusions during the session. |

EU to discuss reducing its peacekeeping mission in BiH

Strike of ‘Breza’ miners in front of FBiH Government building
| BHT 1 – Around 500 miners from coal mine “Breza” protested on Friday in front of the FBiH Government building in Sarajevo due to poor working conditions and low salaries. After negotiations with representatives of the FBiH Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mining that lasted the whole day, the agreement was reached, but the miners are still dissatisfied, reports BHT. The FBiH Government planned to support “Breza” colliery with 1,4 million KM this year. During the session they held on Friday in Banjaluka, which RS Minister of Interior, Darko Matijasevic attended as well, it was discussed on possible solutions of the issue. “We have agreed that February salaries to the workers should be as the ones given in December 2004, which means that the salaries are not going to be reduced”, said Matijasevic. Matijasevic added that a concrete analyse on how to solve the issue, should be made within a month. On the same issue RTRS carries that the RS MoI employees called upon RS policemen to go on a general strike on 12th of April. Chairman of Union of RS MoI employees Dusko Jandric says that RS policemen have the lowest salaries in the region. RS Minister of Interior Darko Matijasevic stated that February salary will be increased to the level of December one. He also stated that the RS MoI asked RS Government for a 20% salary increase. RS MoI intends to find a solution for improving the social status of RS MoI employees and the Union on the other hand states that they will continue their fight. |
