Veterans warn Govt against reducing their allowances; otherwise, massive protests to be organized
| FTV by Zlata Behram – Members of war veteran’s organizations and associations of the former BiH Army and HVO soldiers warned FBiH Government and Parliament against decrease of their disability pensions. Namely, the budget has been allocating 301 million KM for the pensions, but now means would also be directed for some other purposes. The organizations presented their stances to the FBiH Minister for War Veterans Issues Zahid Crnkic. Crnkic said that the issue could be solved by asking the FBiH Government to allocate 334 millions KM to the budget for 2006, by which war veterans would still have their 301 million KM, while 18 millions would be allocated to recipients of war medals and 15 to members of Fikret Abdic’s forces. It is said that the World Bank is to decide on the issue. The veterans warned that if their request was not met they would organize massive protests. RSNA adopts RS MoI working report
| PINKDragica Tojagic – The RSNA accepted the Working Report of the RS Ministry of Interior for the first six months of this year that was presented by the Chief of the RS MoI Cabinet, Zoran Glusac. Glusac evaluated RS MoI cooperation with the ICTY as positive, stressing that ten war crimes indictees surrendered themselves to the RS authorities in this period. RSNA Parliamentary Board for Defence and Security, Velimir Sakan underlined that the Report misses some information in terms of the cooperation with the ICTY and personnel policy and therefore it should be amended in the coming period.
