A report on the initiative of the BiH Presidency to proclaim November 21st for the national holiday in BiH. Two days after, reactions to the initiative are divided, OBN reporter, Bakir Hadziomerovic, confirmed.

Brussels

The USA Ambassador to UN, Richard Holbrooke, said after his meeting with the NATO General Secretary, Javier Solana, that the most important issue for his country and their allies was the return of displaced persons to their pre-war homes. Sarajevo

Head of the UN Mission in BiH, Jacques Klein, met yesterday with the Ambassador Holbrooke. On Wednesday, Jacques Klein returned from his three day visit to Moscow. The Head of the UN Mission in BiH talked about these two meetings for TV INFO. The report was produced by OBN reporter, Vedran Persic.

This was followed by a report on different laws currently in use in two BiH entities. Today in Lukavica, OSCE presented the first book “Laws of BiH”, where laws currently in use on the whole territory of BiH were gathered. OBN reporter, Sanjin Beciragic, reported.

Kosovo

A report on the current events in Kosovo and official start of payment of customs fees for the goods imported to Kosovo. The report was produced by OBN journalist, Gordana Frimel.

World

A report on the work of the European Commission was followed by reports on the current events in Middle East and East Timor. OBN journalist, Zeljka Lekic, produced the report.

Sarajevo

Today, representatives of the German Government and BiH Federation signed the protocol for implementation of funds that Germany pledged at the fifth donor conference for BiH held in Brussels this year. A delegation for economy from Japan also visited BiH in order to inform themselves about possibilities for investing in BiH, OBN reporter, Anes Alic, produced the report.

This was followed by a report on the request made by the several oil importers and producers of oil derivatives for increase of price of their products. The BiH Federation Government did not approve their demand. The report was produced by OBN reporter, Amarildo Gutic.

A piece on the number of complaints sent by citizens to BiH Federation ombudspersons, regarding certificates that had been distributed to date. Ombudspersons sent their recommendations on this issue to the Government. The Agency for Privatisation did not agree with the opinion of ombudspersons, OBN reporter, Mirela Pehar, confirmed.

Banja Luka

The President of the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in the RS, Branko Todorovic, said that the political crisis in the RS influenced human rights and complete living of the RS citizens.

This was followed by a report on the meeting of the President of the RS Government, Milorad Dodik, with the representatives of ministries of refugees and displaced persons in BiH Federation and RS. OBN reporter from Banja Luka, Valentina Knezevic, produced the report.

Mostar

A piece on the return of 20 Bosniak families to the Zijemlje village near Nevesinje. During the winter, only males will stay in the village due to difficult living conditions while coming of the rest is expected in spring. OBN reporter from the area, Sinisa Jokic, produced the report.

A report on the preparations for the football match between BiH and Scotland on Saturday was followed by reports on international tennis, NBA and international football.
