Mostar
One of the five indicted war criminals from Mostar, Zeljko Dzidic surrendered to the Canton Court in Mostar today. “It would be good for other indicted criminals to surrender as well, in order to get the chance to defend themselves before the Canton Court”, the UN Spokesman in Mostar, Stefo Lehman said.
Sarajevo
The Head of the UN Mission in B&H, Jacques Klein sent an announcement to the public today, after recent arrests connected with the Leutar case. Mr. Klein emphasised that many false information were published lately, and that certain political leaders used the investigation for their own political interests, and for slandering the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs, the UN and Mr. Jacques Klein personally. The Head of the UN Mission wanted to deny some of the lies related to the case, and demanded an uninterrupted legal procedure. Reported by Sanjin Beciragic.

The B&H Council of Ministers organised a session today. The Chairman of the Council, Spasoje Tusevljak, who returned from Sydney chaired the session. The Council refused amendments to the law proposal on single passports. The B&H Parliament will make a final decision. Mr. Tusevljak said that he was ready to take responsibility for his work before the B&H Presidency, Vedran Persic reported.

The House of Representatives of the Federal Parliament refused a draft Law on pension and invalid insurance. The OHR warned that the IMF and the World Bank would withdraw $ 150 million of loan, in case of non-adoption of the draft law in today’s session. Mirna Sadikovic produced the report.
Yugoslavia
The Election Commission announced that the election results would be known on Thursday. Despite of this, democratic opposition has already proclaimed the election victory. France announced removal of sanctions against Yugoslavia, after Milosevic’s election defeat. The US Congress granted $500 million of aid for democratic forces in Serbia and Montenegro. Donors from Saudi Arabia granted DM 2,4 million for the Project of heart operations at the Sarajevo Clinical Centre. All operations have been suspended due to arisen disagreements. Reported by Sevko Bajic.

Employees of the company “Autoprevoz” in Mostar organised a strike today. They voted non-confidence in the Board and the Director. Employees have not received their salaries since the New Year.
Zenica
According to the semi-annual information, 856 companies in Zenica-Doboj Canton had losses in their business transactions. About 35 000 employees work for these companies.
Banja Luka
The First Union Congress is taking place in Banja Luka. Participants discussed several issues: privatisation problems, providing flats for workers etc. Representatives of the Association of the World Energy Union attended the Congress.

The OSCE Mission in B&H announced lists of political candidates and coalitions for compensatory mandates at the House of Representatives of the B&H Parliament, the Federation Parliament and the RS Assembly.
