The Stability Pact officials reminded the B&H officials of their unfulfilled obligations. We want to make countries of the region co-operate, said Hans Kochnik, Chairman of the Stability Pact group for regional return. The Stability Pact delegation talked to the Government ministers, expressing their views on this issue. Reported by Damir Kaletovic.

During his farewell meeting with the B&H Presidency members, General Wesley Clark said that the B&H authorities should extradite the indicted war criminals. It is time for B&H to enter the 21st century, he added. The solution for problem of this region is democratisation of Belgrade, said Clark. OBN journalist Vedran Persic produced the report.

The Hague

Defenders of Dusko Tadic, the indicted war criminal, claim that he was arrested in Smederevo, in Serbia and not in B&H. The place of arrest does not influence the Tribunal jurisdiction, said the prosecution representative. This was the cause for speculations about NATO and their possible arrests in Yugoslavia, Mirko Klarin, the “Sense” correspondent confirmed from the Hague.

Banja Luka

The RS Assembly adopted the Law on Public Prosecutor’s Office today. They postponed the appointment of Munib Jusufovic for the vice-president. This might lead to voting of non-confidence in Dodik’s Government, said the Coalition for B&H representatives.

30 persons dies, and 17 were injured in North Angola, in a mine explosion.

Kidnappers of 20 tourists in Malaysia demanded ransom for the hostages. Malaysian authorities think that Islamic separatists kidnapped the tourists.

The Federal Privatisation Agency announced information on buyers of daily papers “Vecernje novine” and “Oslobodenje”. One offer was received for each tender. Buyer of “Vecernje novine” is company “Alden print”, while the buyer of “Oslobodenje” is still unknown. The report was produced by OBN journalist Sanjin Beciragic.

10 days ago, “Evropa” hotel in Sarajevo was sold by the price of DM5,1 million. The Canton Sarajevo Privatisation Agency cancelled the tender, after it had been revealed that a company commission member and the buyer were relatives. The Union of catering employees didn’t react to any of privatisation irregularities, the OBN reporter Amarildo Gutic confirmed.

Vlasic

The B&H archbishop Vinko Puljic and the apostolic nuncio Duzepe Leanca visited village Koricani on Vlasic mountain today. 13 inhabitants returned to Koricani. The rest of the pre-war population are refugees in Croatia and other world countries. The Cardinal Puljic invited the international community to help reconstruction of the village.
