Citizens’ association “Lasta” informed OBN that the Serb policeman Ratko Sopic was killed in a shooting. Two Croat policemen were wounded. The suspect hasn’t been arrested yet. “It’s important to know that the crime wasn’t ethnically motivated”, said Stefo Lehmann, the IPTF Spokesman.
Sarajevo
After accusations from “Dnevni avaz” about the attempt of 5 families to privatise the whole Federation, Mr. Bicakcic reacted by presenting accusations against the director of “Dnevni avaz”. He said that he would demand justice when the Federation gets real judiciary. Reported by Amarildo Gutic.
Zavidovici
60 employees of the company “Zavidovici” have been on strike for 36 days. They blocked roads for the fourth time today, demanding fulfilment of their requests. “They demand 8 unpaid salaries. The situation is very difficult, and the company is not able to fulfil this request”, said Seval Fergic, the Director of the Company. A new Administrative Board will be appointed in the next few days. The report was produced by Muhamed Mujanovic.
Tuzla
Employees of the company “Tusko” in Tuzla are also on strike. They refuse to continue working without salaries, Sabina Dizdarevic confirmed from Tuzla.
Sarajevo
More than 134 000 people were registered for the privatisation process in B&H so far. However, only 30% of work was completed, and deadlines for implementation of the privatisation process will probably be postponed again. Reported by Amarildo Gutic.

The spread of Q-fever continues among the cattle in the Federation of B&H. If it is not stopped soon, animals and people will be in danger of other diseases. The EU promised that they would donate money for stopping the disease, but the money hasn’t arrived yet. OBN reporter Anes Alic produced the report.

Bratunac

Demining of the area around the Sarajevo airport started today. If the work is not completed by the deadline, the Sarajevo airport will be closed on 31st July. The US Government donated part of the money for the demining. The report was produced by Vedran Persic.
