The Hague

The Hague Tribunal made a decision to pronounce clash in BiH as an ‘international’ clash after the alleged withdrawal of the Yugoslav Army (JNA) from the BiH territory in May 1992. This was followed by a report on trial to Dusan Tadic. OBN journalist, Zeljka Lekic, produced the report.

Sarajevo

The main Prosecutor of the Hague Tribunal, Louise Arbour, met today with the members of the BiH Presidency. A report on this was produced by OBN journalist and presenter, Duska Jurisic. In two months, new Prosecutor of the Hague Tribunal will be appointed.

This was followed by a report on the session of the BiH Presidency where one of the main topics was the organisation of the forthcoming Summit of the South East European Pact of Stability in Sarajevo. The date of the Summit is not determined yet. A report on this was produced by OBN journalist, Sanjin Beciragic.The High Representative in BiH, Carlos Westendorp, said that the work of the BiH Presidency has approved a lot in the last several months.

A report on the session of the Permanent Secretariat for Military Issues where the BiH military budget was discussed.The budget should be cut by 15% by the end of this year.

This was followed by a report from the seventh session of the Representative House of the BiH Parliament where the participants, after a five hour discussion, adopted only agenda.

Croatia & BiH

The Croatian Government accepted annexes of the Special Relation Agreement between Croatia and the BiH Federation.

Sarajevo

A report on the extraordinary session of the Federal Parliament House of Peoples. Chairman of this body, Mato Zovko, resigned from the position upon his own request. OBN journalist, Amarildo Gutic, produced the report.

Washington

Tonight at 10.00pm, the new US Ambassador in BiH, Thomas Miller, will take his oath in the State Department. This was reported in TV INFO directly from Washington.

Kosovo

The Kosovo Albanians leader, Ibrahim Rugova, returned to Kosovo today after several months spent abroad. A report on the mass grave found in the Italian Sector in Kosovo with 748 bodies followed. Current situation in Yugoslavia was also presented. OBN journalist, Gordana Frimel, produced the report.

This was followed by reports from other parts of the world: Northern Ireland, Iran, the USA and China.

Srebrenica

The first project of the International Community, funded by the European Commission and coordinated with OSCE and OHR’s support, is successfully being implemented in Srebrenica. The project consists of cleaning the sewage disposal system in the town which will improve living conditions for the Srebrenica population.

Cazin

A report on the first public auction in the Una-Sana Canton. This was the start of the privatisation process in the Canton. OBN reporter from Cazin, Azra Bajric, sent her report.

Tuzla

A report on solving the problem of returning to flats in the Tuzla. There are approximately 4,500 claims for return to flats in Tuzla.

Sport

A report on the Davis Cup matches, Latin American Cup and Formula 1.
