Director of Independent Judicial Commission (IJC), judge Rakel Surlien had meetings with Republika Srpska Minister of Justice Ms. Biljana Maric in Banja Luka on Thursday, 7 November and today in Sarajevo she met with Federation Minister of Justice Mr. Zvonko Mijan.
During these meetings the roles of the Ministries of Justice in the process of court restructuring and other important elements of the implementation was main issue of discussion.
Judge Surlien expressed the readiness of IJC to assist the Ministries in dealing with making plans for the necessary steps that are required for the court restructuring process to be finalized, this will include new staff-plans, budgetary implications, further reform of the Law on Courts and Judicial Service and harmonized Books of Rules.
