HJPCs gathering experiences from international judiciary on disciplinary proceedings

Members of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Councils (HJPCs) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Federation BiH and Republika Srpska are currently preparing the work of the disciplinary panels.

Today, the HJPCs members will have the opportunity to learn from the experiences of French judiciary system in the disciplinary proceedings against judges and prosecutors. Ms. C Berkani, member of the “Conseil Supérieur de la Magistrature” and Mr. J Bartholi, Inspector in the “Inspection de Services Judiciaires” are two judges from France who will pass on their experiences to the HJPCs in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

HJPCs have started with the interviewing process for judges and prosecutors for the higher tier level judiciary position in country. The appointments for this first wave are expected to finish in second half of December 2002.
