OHR condemns the shooting incident that took place in Sarajevo today; such incidents do not reflect the reality of Bosnia and Herzegovina today.
The OHR fully supports the law enforcement and security agencies of BiH and is confident a full investigation into the attack will be conducted.
Wishing those injured a full and rapid recovery, the High Representative Valentin Inzko said today: “The citizens of Sarajevo, and of Bosnia and Herzegovina, have a right to live without fear. This society, still scarred by the war of the 1990’s, needs to feel hope once again – this is something we must all work on together.”
The motivation for this violence is as yet unknown and therefore it is important to avoid any speculation as to what lies behind it.
