Implementation of property laws completed in the unified City of Mostar

Property Law Implementation Plan (PLIP) Agencies – OSCE, OHR and UNHCR – congratulate the housing authorities in Mostar for having finalized property law implementation in their re-gions. Prior to their abolition on 15 March, all six former Municipalities and the Central Zone were verified as having substantially completed their caseload.

The City of Mostar housing authorities are now urged to continue supporting the work of the Revalidation Commissions, and to ensure that alternative accommodation is provided for those legally entitled to it.

The PLIP Agencies note that the City of Mostar is the first major city in BiH to have substantially completed the property law implementation. Substantial completion is an important step towards the continuing normalization of a City that should be perceived as unified and open to all.
