In July 2015, the OHR donated radio equipment to the Konjic Mountain Rescue Service, in line with its policy of support to the public and social institutions and non-profit organizations in BiH.
The High Representative, Valentin Inzko, met today in Sarajevo with a delegation of the Konjic Mountain Rescue Service who informed him that the equipment was put in place immediately and that it plays an important role in the activities of the Service. The Konjic Mountain Rescue Service declared the High Representative as an honorary member of the Association and presented him with a Letter of Appreciation.
“I am honored to be a member of this exclusive club of brave people who represent an outstanding example of what is best in this country: human solidarity and commitment to one’s local community. I want to thank them once again for all that they have done and are doing, voluntarily, giving their time, energy and effort to help people in trouble”, the High Representative said after the meeting.
