High Representative Christian Schmidt met today with the Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Jovan Kalaba, to discuss preparations for the 2026 General Elections. They exchanged views on the implementation of election technologies and the importance of ensuring that every vote is counted as cast. “Free, fair, and credible elections remain fundamental to democratic confidence in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said HR Schmidt.
He underlined that “The support to fair and free elections will remain with the OHR as well after I have left the office. The policy remains the same.”
