High Representative Christian Schmidt took part as a panellist in the discussion “The Future of Youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina: European Perspective and Civic Engagement,” organised by the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Sarajevo.
“The future of Bosnia and Herzegovina rests on a generation of young people empowered to participate actively in public life and contribute as partners in shaping the country’s future. Their energy, ideas, and commitment to civic engagement are essential to strengthening democratic institutions and advancing Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European path. By creating opportunities for meaningful participation, the country can ensure that the next generation plays a leading role in building a more resilient, cohesive, and prosperous society. I encourage a young people to be creative in defining their future. Not everything is good only because elders are saying that.” said High Representative Schmidt.
