High Representative Meets BH Presidency Chairman, Nebojsa Radmanovic

During their meeting in Sarajevo today, High Representative Valentin Inzko and Chair of the BiH Presidency Nebojsa Radmanovic discussed a number of upcoming regional and international activities, including Chair Radmanovic’s forthcoming trip to Austria, BiH’s biggest investor, which will be devoted to economic issues and where he will meet with the President of Austria.

Speaking about developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina, High Representative Inzko expressed the need for all authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina to respect the Dayton Peace Agreement. “The seven year downward political spiral must end,” the High Representative said; an atmosphere where the Peace Agreement and the fundamentals of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina are challenged “does not create a conducive and positive climate for economic and social development”.

Speaking to President Radmanovic as Commander in Chief of the BiH Armed Forces the High Representative underlined the pressing need for BiH to speed up the disposal of its surplus arms and ammunitions. President Radmanovic assured the High Representative that the Presidency is aware of the dangers and the urgency of solving this issue.
