The High Representative, Paddy Ashdown, today speaking at the award ceremony for BiH innovators in Sarajevo, pointed out the importance of intellectual capital for the economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the future. “More than on the skill of people’s hands we will build our economy on intellectual capital, on mining the people’s minds”, the High Representative said, adding that “especially in Bosnia and Herzegovina this capital is so rich”.
The High Representative congratulated the award-winners, who have shown even in international competition that Bosnia and Herzegovina has the potential to become a prosperous country. In order to achieve that, Bosnia and Herzegovina needs to push through necessary and difficult reforms that will allow Bosnia and Herzegovina’s rich intellectual capital to become the basis for the future development of the country.
