First Srebrenica Coordination Meeting Takes Place in OHR; Chair Appointed

A first high-level coordination meeting on Srebrenica took place today at the Office of the High Representative at which Ambassador Igor Davidovic was appointed chair of this body.

A high-level coordination group on Srebrenica has been created to address the many practical issues relating to this municipality following a meeting of Nedzad Brankovic, Milorad Dodik and Nikola Spiric, Prime Ministers respectively of the Federation, Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the High Representative, Christian Schwarz-Schilling on 27 April.

Ambassador Davidovic is the personal representative of Nikola Spiric, the Chair of the Council of Ministers. Also present at today’s meeting were Peter Bas-Backer, the Senior Deputy High Representative, Clifford Bond, the personal envoy of the High Representative for the Srebrenica region, Miladin Dragicevic, the personal representative of Republika Srpska Prime Minister Dodik, Minister Edin Music, the personal representative of Federation Prime Minister Brankovic.

Participants agreed to meet again in the week of 20 May.
