The High Representative Valentin Inzko and the BiH Minister of Finance and Treasury Dragan Vrankić met yesterday in Sarajevo to discuss the current situation related to the State-level budget.
The High Representative expressed understanding for Minister Vrankic’s principled approach and said that adoption of any budget, including for 2011, should follow the constitutional procedures.
Domestic institutions should resolve these problems in a manner that will enable the financing of the country’s institutions and repayment of foreign debt, while respecting the legal and constitutional order.
The High Representative also thanked Minister Vrankic for a very successful mandate and for his continuing dedicated work on behalf of the state of BiH and its finances.
