David M. Robinson Appointed Principal Deputy High Representative

High Representative Valentin Inzko welcomed David M. Robinson, a US career diplomat, as the new Principal Deputy High Representative and Brcko Supervisor.

“Ambassador Robinson is a very experienced diplomat. His nomination is yet another demonstration of the commitment of the United States of America to peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I am delighted to welcome him to my team as we continue to work on eliminating the remaining challenges to the country’s post-war recovery. There is an urgent need to implement long delayed reforms and I am pleased that Ambassador Robinson will be part of those efforts”, the High Representative said.

Before arriving in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambassador Robinson served as the Assistant Chief of Mission in the US Embassy in Afghanistan. Prior to this, he served as Deputy Assistant Secretary in the US Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration, with responsibility for Europe, Central Asia, and the Americas and for worldwide refugee admissions, among other responsibilities.
