CONSULTANT ON IMPROVEMENT OF BRCKO DISTRICT INSTITUTIONS CAPACITY REGARDING DRAFTING LEGISLATION

DUTY STATION:                 Brcko  

CONTRACT TYPE:            Consultancy

DURATION:                         Maximum 3 months

PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:

Under the direct supervision of the Head of the Legal Section of OHR-Final Award Office, Consultant is responsible of improving skills and capacity of employees within Brcko District institutions regarding drafting laws and other regulations as well as identifying Entity laws for taking over as well as adapting respective Entity laws to Brcko District specifics.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Training for employees in drafting laws and other regulations;

·        Training for employees in identifying laws for taking over;

·        Training for employees in reviewing laws;

·        Training for employees in adapting Entity laws for taking over according to Brcko District specifics;

·        Making reports on the progress;

·         Present reports to the Head of Legal Section and to Supervisor if required.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:          

·        Law Faculty Degree;

·        Drafting laws practice;

·        Training practice;

·        At least five years of experience in respective fields;

·        Understanding of the Final Award and the Statute of the Brcko District;

·        Understanding of BiH Constitution and BiH countrywide law environment;

·        Excellent command of English;

·        Speaking / writing Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian would be an asset;

·        Drafting skills;

·        Good communication skills.
