The High Representative Valentin Inzko is deeply concerned over recent divisive statements by some high-level political and institutional leaders, which remind the population of BiH of the tragic conflict during the ’90 and are not in line with long-standing efforts to promote peace, stability and prosperity in BiH.

High Representative Valentin Inzko met yesterday with the UN General Assembly President, Miroslav Lajčák to discuss the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In light of the internal challenges that Bosnia and Herzegovina still faces, the International Community should retain all instruments at its disposal, including the EU military force, in order to maintain the country’s stability, the High Representative, Valentin Inzko, stated in his address before the UN Security Council.

During his visit to New York, where he will present his regular 52nd report to the UN Security Council today, the High Representative Valentin Inzko has used the opportunity to visit the St. Sava Orthodox Church in Manhattan and meet with the protopriest Živojin Jakovljević.

Principal Deputy High Representative Dennis W. Hearne met today in Sarajevo with the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) and Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunal (MICT), Serge Brammertz, who is paying his last visit to BiH in the capacity of ICTY Chief Prosecutor.
