The High Representative, Christian Schwarz-Schilling, has extended the temporary prohibition on the disposal of state property, originally enacted on 18 March 2005, until 31 May 2007, by amending the BiH, Federation and RS Laws on Temporary Prohibition of the Disposal of State Property.

This Sunday’s general election is especially significant because those who are elected will have full responsibility for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s future, the High Representative and EU Special Representative, Christian Schwarz-Schilling, said in a television address to citizens broadcast on Friday evening.

The OHR today expressed its support for the unanimous position of the international financial institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, that the Federation Law on the Rights of War Veterans and Members of their Families, if enacted in its present form, would bring financial havoc to the Federation budget.
