Brcko Port Feasibility Study Agreement signed

Brcko Supervisor and Deputy High Representative, Robert W. Farrand, and United States Regional Commercial Officer, Patrick Hughes, signed today an agreement to initiate a feasibility study of the Brcko port.

This agreement constitutes the first step in the tender process for contracting a U.S firm to conduct the study. The agreement authorizes the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) to solicit bids from interested firms. Once all bids are received, the USTDA will forward them to the OHR who will be responsible for selecting the contractor. The Brcko Municipality will also participate in the selection process. It is expected that the study will take about 6 months to complete.

The Mayor of Brcko, Sinisa Kisic, the Director of the Brcko port, Mladen Zonic, and the US Embassy political officer, Daniel Rhea, also attended the signing ceremony, together with the Head of the OHR-North Department for Reconstruction and Economic Development, Jesse Bunch, and the OHR-North Business and Economic Advisor, Brooke Allen.
