Ambassador Bond meets RS Prime Minister Dodik

The Envoy of the High Representative for Srebrenica, Ambassador Clifford Bond, at the end of his one year mandate, paid a farewell visit to the RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik. Ambassador Bond, who supervised the international community’s activities in and around Srebrenica and served as the contact point for local authorities at all levels on issues related to Srebrenica and the RS Prime Minister Dodik discussed future economic development of Srebrenica area, emphasizing the need to create more jobs and attract more private investments in order to ensure economic recovery of the area.

Ambassador Bond praised the efforts of the RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik and his Cabinet related to the changes of the BiH Election Law which have enabled all former citizens of Srebrenica to vote at the coming local elections.  Ambassador Bond thanked Prime Minister Dodik, and through him, to the RS Government Ministries for their effective cooperation during his mandate as High Representative’s Envoy for Srebrenica.

During his meeting with the RS Prime Minister Dodik, Ambassador Bond recalled that prosperous future of Srebrenica also depends on the provision of justice and assessed that failure to apprehend Radovan Karadzic and Ratko Mladic continues to be the stumbling block in reconciliation process.
