Bosnia and Herzegovina can achieve more progress in the coming period if dialogue and compromise prevail in politics, thereby accelerating the country’s Euro-Atlantic future, High Representative Valentin Inzko said today.

The High Representative was speaking during a meeting at the OHR with Austrian Foreign Minister Michael Spindelegger and Slovenian Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec.

The High Representative said the formation of the Council of Ministers, even after a protracted delay, the adoption of state aid and census legislation, and the agreement among political leaders to address the issues defence and state property may indicate that the long and damaging period of political gridlock is coming to an end.

He called for “a common vision for the country, a joint commitment to move forward towards the EU and NATO.”
