The High Representative, Paddy Ashdown, this morning met with the ICTY’s Chief Prosecutor, Carla del Ponte, in The Hague. Following the meeting, the High Representative, pointing to the increased cooperation with the Tribunal seen in the past 11 months, noted that the International Community is now watching closely to see that this process continues. “That means that all remaining individuals indicted for war crimes, including Radovan Karadzic and Ratko Mladic, are transferred to the ICTY without delay,” he said. “The journey will not be complete until every indicted individual is in The Hague.”
