BiH TV celebrated anniversary of 9000 broadcast of the evening news. TV Sarajevo brought the first issue of the news at 19:30 on February 25 1971.

BiH President Izetbegovic met with the US Ambassador to NATO, Vershbow. The main subject of the conversation was refugee return, as well as the implementation of the election results. Izetbegovic also met with Pope Nuncio, Monsignor Francesko Monterisi. BiH Presidency member Zubak met with Versebow, discussing the matter of the DPA implementation and refugee return. Zubak also met with HR deputy Schumacher, discussing the matters of refugee return to Mostar.

RS Parliament continued its session today. The Parliament adopted the Law on Banking Agency, the proposal on the changes of the Law on Weapons and Ammunition, and proposal of the Law on changes of the Law on Ministries. HR deputy Schumacher was also present at the session.

Federation Minister for refugees, Kadic and Sarajevo Canton Minister for refugees, Belkic discussed the refugee return plan for 1998. Implementation of the Sarajevo Declaration was discussed as well as conditions for return of 20.000 Serbs and Croats to Sarajevo. Belkic informed Kadic about establishment of commissions four housing affairs, employment and education. The current situation of refugee return was also discussed.

The RS Parliament also discussed the Prijedor declaration, proposed by OHR and in regard with refugee return to this area.

Herzegovina/Neretva Canton Government adopted the return plan for eight municipalities, while the agreement was not fully achieved for 6 more of them. The first phase of the return covers the refugee return to uninhabited houses.

Exhumations finished at the Balinovac locality. President of the State Commission for Missing Persons, Masovic said that 79 victims were exhumed.

At the ICTY trial to former Vukovar Mayor, Slavko Vukmanovic, Stipe Mesic testified before the Tribunal. As said by Mesic, in 1991, Serbian leaders had the intention to create the Great Serbia, by taking away 66%, BiH territory.

FRY did not fulfill demands of the Contact Group in regard with Kosovo, and FRY president. Milosevic also discarded the mediating by the former Spanish diplomat, Gonzalez.
