B&H

Banja Luka

2000 employees of the RS Post Office are on strike. They demand that KM 3 million are unblocked for the development of the post office system. “This is a political strike, without a real reason”, said Mirko Pavic, the RS Minister of Traffic. Dragan Stanimirovic produced the report.

Kostajnica

174 employees of the company “Pounje” from Kostajnica are on strike, demanding their monthly salaries. Reported by Milena Letic-Joves.

Tuzla

Preparations for a commemoration gathering in Potocari, that will take place on 11th July are almost completed. The OHR and the US Embassy will also organise a commemoration gathering in Sarajevo, with the Association “Majke Srebrenice i Zepe”. The report was produced by Muhamed Berbic.

Montenegro

The Montenegrin Assembly adopted a resolution on protection for the citizens of Montenegro this morning. The resolution does not recognise the decision on changes of the FRY Constitution, that was adopted without legitimate representatives of Montenegro. “Our priority is to oust Milosevic and his regime”, said Predrag Popovic, the Vice-President of the Montenegrin Assembly. World

Three people were wounded in a shell explosion in the Serb-controlled part of Kosovska Mitrovica last night.

The Pentagon announced that the test of the US rocket system failed.

The Russian Defence Ministry hopes that Clinton will give up the new rocket system after the test failure.

Member countries of G7, after a meeting in Japan, decided to co-ordinate their activities in the fight against money laundering. Zeljka Lekic produced the report.

Washington

The US Congress recommended the US Government to reconsider their aid for B&H, because of the corruption in the country. Reported by Kemal Kurspahic.

Sarajevo

The B&H Parliament will discuss the 4th version of the B&H Passport, without any entity symbols. B&H and Croatia started a dialogue on crossing the border between the two countries without passports. OBN reporter Amarildo Gutic produced the report.

Mostar

A delegation of the Federation Government, led by the Federation Prime Minister, Edhem Bicakcic, visited Herzegovina-Neretva Canton today. The delegation delivered aid to returnees in the area. However, the returnees need more international aid for normal living, Sinisa Jokic confirmed.

Novi Travnik

About 10% of houses in Novi Travnik have been reconstructed. Branka Vrebac reported on a difficult situation for returnees in the area.

Sarajevo

The OSCE Mission web page attracts public attention, after publishing financial reports of municipal officials. Reported by Vedran Persic.
