Radisic said that the BiH Presidency had not discussed the CoM’s report relating to the work of the Inter-state Commission for delimitation between Croatia and BiH. He also said that the statement of Mirza Hajric that the inter-state contract on border dispute should be signed by the 28th of July, is only Hajric’s personal point of view.- SRNA

Talks between the RS Government and representatives of Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Hungary, Croatia and the US on possibilities for a balance of trade. Svetozar Mihajlovic also attended the meeting and informed journalists of the preparation of a study dedicated to stabilisation of relations between BiH and the EU, which would also contribute to solving problems in the customs service. The meeting was organised by the RS Government and USAID.

The new multiethnic local authorities of Srebrenica Municipality and OHR Special Envoy Bent Jensen organised a Mini-Donors’ Conference. Jensen said that the aim of this conference was to instigate the reconstruction of the economy in the town. Jensen said the conference offered the possibility to the local authorities of making contacts with possible investors and foreign embassies in BiH.

SRT carried the news of the main topics of the Balkans Conference which is taking place in Vienna (human rights, development of democracy in the region, economics..). SRT also carried the news of participants at the Conference, saying that the Conference was attended by representatives of the Serbian opposition (Alliance for Change).

KOSOVO AND FRY RELATED NEWS

SRT reports on incidents in Kosovo, KFOR disarming Albanians, kidnapping of Serbs, murders, missing Serbs, dramatic situation in Prizren, Vitina, Urosevac, Pec, Albanian demonstrations in Pristina demanding the release of their family members from jails in Kosovo. The entire block of news is accompanied by APTN footage of scenes from Kosovo.

SRT correspondent from Belgrade (Radmila Urosevic) reports on students from Belgrade University who organised a protest against the FRY regime. She described the beginning of the action at Terazije (downtown Belgrade) where students were throwing leaflets explaining the students’ requests. She also mentioned that the students were gathered in a group known by the name of “Otpor” (which in English means resistance, the group is led by Boris Karajicic, student of the Faculty of Philology). SRT correspondent reports on activities of “Alliance for Change” and statement of its co-ordinator Vladan Batic.

SRT carried the statements of Dragan Tomic, Serbian NA Speaker (SPS member)- Tomic was talking about the conspiracy of foreigners and the need for “strong-handed leadership”, Tomislav Nikolic (Serbian Radical Party), Executive Board of SRS, ND (New Democracy), Milan St. Protic (a historian from Belgrade and one of the leaders of The Alliance for Change), Radical Party of Left “Nikola Pasic”.

The pre-war residents of Brezovo Polje and Gredica talked today with local officials about the possibility of returning to their pre-war houses. SRT carried the statements of Dragan Kisic, Mirsad Islamovic and Stuart Poucher.
