RS Government criticizes Radisic, Djokic and Poplasen visit with Milosevic
The RS Government issued a public announcement regarding the visit of RS National Assembly Speaker Petar Djokic, BiH Presidency Co-chairman Zivko Radisic and Nikola Poplasen’s to Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic in Belgrade on 9 October. They believe that this visit is a highly destructive political act for the RS. The visit, which none of the RS organs decided on, could again destabilize the political situation in the RS, damage its position in BiH and question the quality of International Community’s support to the democratic RS. According to the Government, it could create an illusion that the political fate of the RS depends exclusively on Milosevic and the Belgrade regime. The talks in which dismissed SRS leader and dismissed RS President Nikola Poplasen and Slobodan Milosevic, indicted by ICTY for war crimes, took part is an attempt by the Belgrade political circles to break the Sloga Coalition and make the RS dependent exclusively on its political problems and the complete annulment of the ranking the RS achieved through RS Government’s efforts. The RS Government disavows itself from this biased and illegal move.
