News Summary

SPRS holds press conference in Banja Luka

The SPRS held press a conference in Banja Luka where Main Board member Gojko Milinkovic stated that authorized bodies of the RS would issue an order on the temporary withdrawal of RS Army forces from Brcko. “The order on RS Army’s temporary withdrawal is in the context of the rejection of the Brcko Arbitration decision, because we do not consider that Brcko will remain a district forever” added Milinkovic. Milinkovic commented on the decrease in donors’ aid to the RS and BiH. “The RS and BiH did not use the opportunity to receive $5 billion from donors for damages in the RS and BiH due to the bombing of Yugoslavia” Milinkovic said. He stated that some provisions of the Brcko Statute are not in accordance with the Dayton Agreement and the SPRS will suggest that the RS and BiH to examine the constitutionally of the Statute at the BiH Constitutive Court. The SPRS considers that the BiH Election Law is in essence acceptable and entity parliaments should adopt this law. BiH will establish diplomatic relations with Yugoslavia after democratic changes are made in Yugoslavia, Milinkovic concluded.
