High Representative welcomes decision to use BiH Armed Forces in putting out wildfires

The High Representative Christian Schmidt welcomes the decision of the BiH Presidency to use helicopters of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina to fight wildfires. “That is the right thing to do. In the future, it is important the authorities in BiH would act consistently and in a timely manner, especially in situations when human life, property, and nature are threatened. The protection of people and of this country’s environment has absolute priority over all other considerations. I will keep an eye on this issue,” said the High Representative.
