9 September 97, 19:30 Mostar - At an emergency session today, the HDZ Presidency decided not to participate in the local elections. The Presidency took the view that conditions for free and democratic election had not been met in an atmosphere where the DPA and electoral rules had been flagrantly violated.

7 September 97, 19:30 Sarajevo - The Second Congress of the BiH SDA Party continued its work. The delegates accepted Alija Izetbegovic, Party President's report. The results of voting for which the only candidate was its former leader Alija Izetbegovic, will be known late tonight.

DS Banja Luka will organise a massive election campaign rally named 'The Serb Parliament for the Unified and Indivisible RS' in Banja Luka tomorrow. Various SDS members, such as Krajisnik and Buha and the Orthodox priests will address the people of Banja Luka.

5 September 97, 19:30 Session of the Herzegovina Neretva Cantonal Parliament - The session was abandoned by Bosniak MP's after HDZ MP's refused to accept Mostar amendments to the Cantonal Constitution which had been adopted at the meeting in Sarajevo.

Pale - RS representative Krajisnik met with the US Ambassador Kauzlarich. Krajisnik's cabinet announced that Kauzlarich acknowledged the attitude of the Serb side concerning the elections. By this opinion, the elections should be delayed until the end of September, in order to review the voters lists and the election rules.

4 September 97, 19:30 Headline news: Three bombs exploded in the Jewish part of Jerusalem. Six people were killed, 146 wounded / 30 people died when two busses collided in Turkey. Sarajevo - The CoM session - regular CoM sessions should be held on Tuesdays according to the CoM's Rules of Procedure.
